Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
1. Overview
Quick Resume is a local desktop application. We are committed to your privacy. This policy explains what data the application handles and how.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
Quick Resume does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:
- We do not create or require user accounts.
- We do not send your resume data, personal information, or usage data to any server.
- We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry services.
- We do not use cookies or tracking technologies of any kind.
3. Data Stored Locally
All information you enter in Quick Resume — including resume content, avatar photos, and application settings — is stored exclusively in a local database on your device at ~/.quick-resume/. This data never leaves your computer unless you explicitly export and share a file yourself.
4. AI Features (Optional)
Quick Resume includes optional AI features (resume parsing and polishing) powered by third-party language model APIs such as OpenRouter. These features are entirely opt-in and require you to provide your own API key.
When you use AI features, the resume text you submit is sent to the AI provider you configure. Please review the privacy policy of your chosen AI provider. Quick Resume does not store or log this data on any server controlled by us.
5. Internet Access
Quick Resume does not make any network requests unless you explicitly use the AI features described above. The application works fully offline by default.
6. Children's Privacy
Quick Resume is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the application evolves. Material changes will be noted in the app's update release notes.
